Agar.io 

It is a massively popular online action game developed by Matheus Valadares. In this game, the player has to control circular cells which are in the form of a petri dish on a map. In Agar.io, the objective of the player is to gain as much as possible by eating cells that are smaller than the cell size of the player because the larger cells can eat the smaller ones. Each player starts with a small cell and they have to climb the ladder to win by eating more cells. The game was launched in 2015.

Slither.io 

Slither.io is a popular .io Game that is available on browsers, iOS, Windows and Android. It was rolled out in 2016 and is a multi-player game created by Steve Howse. In this game, the player resembles a worm and the objective of the player is to become the largest worm in the game. In the game, the player has to eat pellets and other smaller worms to grow in size while enjoying their time in a virtual world.

Diep.io 

In Diep.io, the player has to control tanks and gain points by destroying both the shapes and other players that are available in the 2D arena. The player can attack by firing bullets from their tank, the points earned by killing can then be used for leveling up the features of the tank. The game was launched in 2016.

Eatme.io

Eatme.io was developed by Junglee Game and was rolled out in 2016. In this game, the player needs to eat fish and has to compete with other players for the food. Similar to Agar.io, large fishes can eat smaller fishes and not vice versa.

Hole.io 

It is an arcade puzzle game based on physics and is created by Voodoo. In this game, the player needs to eat objects which in turn, will increase the size of the hole allowing them to eat larger objects and other small players.

Jaws.io 

Released in Jaws.io, it is another game that is inspired by Agar.io. To reach the highest score, the users have to either pick or eat things which depends on whether the player is controlling a shark or a ship. The task of the player is to pick civilians while fighting other boats.

Surviv.io 

Developed by Justin Kim and Nick Clark, Surviv.io belongs to the battle Royale genre and was rolled out in 2017. The player in this game is represented in a circular figure and is surrounded by a red zone which shrinks as the game progresses. If the player is present in the red zone, they will lose their health every second. In the randomly generated map of the game, the player needs to fight for their survival.

ZombsRoyale.io 

It is another popular game created by End Game which is available in the browser, Android and iOS. The game is played in several rounds that consist of 50-100 players. The players are represented with a circular figure which is again surrounded by a blue zone that shrinks as the game advances. In the initial stage, the player can only fight with a fist but later they can collect weapons.
