Inspired by the popular multiplayer game Slither.io, Wormate.io is a similar game where instead of a snake you’re a worm and have to consume the food and grow up and take down other worms. The game is set in a large arena that contains a lot of worms.
You start the game off as a small worm and you have to grow bigger by consuming the food in the arena. The more food that you eat, the bigger you get and once you get big enough, you can trap other worms and grow even bigger in size.
How to play Wormate.io?
Just like any other game where you have to eat and grow, Wormate.io is also pretty much the same. You enter the arena as a small worm and have to eat the food that is randomly spawned in the arena. The more food you eat, the bigger you get, and the bigger you are, the more worms that you can trap and consume.
The objective of the game is to be the biggest worm in the arena and it can only be done by starting off slow, consuming the food only, and then as you grow bigger, encircling smaller worms, and consuming them. The more worms that you trap, the bigger you will get.
You will also find certain power-ups that are randomly spawned in the arena. Each power-up has a unique ability and after consuming the power-up, you get that ability for a limited amount of time.
Power-ups:
Wormate.io has a lot of different power-ups that will help you increase in size and they are abilities for a limited time that will give you an edge over other players. The power-ups Wormate.io are the following:
Magnet: Pulls the food towards your worm.
Lock: Gives you a large amount of food which increases the size of your worm.
Crisscross: Lets you make sharper turns easily
Speed Boost: Give your worm a speed boost and allows it to move faster
Magnifying Glass: Zooms out the camera for a wider viewing angle.
Multiplier: Multiplies the power of the food depending on the value of the multiplier (2x, 5x, 10)
Question Mark: Gives you one of the aforementioned power-ups
